A BIG thank you to our friends at GENLUX Magazine for inviting us to their recent photoshoot for the gorgeous Lisa Vanderpump. It was such a pleasure to meet her (and of course, we couldn’t resist gifting her with some of our fave SIRCUIT® products)!!
"This stuff works wonders on wrinkles and puffy swollen eyes, though we hesitate to mention that part of its appeal is the inclusion of diamond particles. Turns out those help with color-correcting, which means it’s exceptional at immediately diminishing dark circles (and no, you won’t sparkle)."

Guest blogger and DJ/entrepreneur/NYC gal-about-town Hannah Bronfman shares her weekly beauty obsessions.
“I have a habit of walking into any beauty store I pass just to check out what brand they have—since I like to recommend things to friends, I need to know what products are out there. Recently, I stopped by Thompson Alchemists (just off Prince St. here in NYC) right in my ’hood. It was there I discovered WHITE OUT+ daily under eye care by Sircuit Skin cosmeceuticals. I’ll confess: The packaging first caught my eye, but ever since I started using it, I’ve been hooked—it’s perfect for my late nights. And especially during #NYFW, I never get enough sleep. I am always on the go: from shows and presentations to work meetings to after parties, so I need a product that keeps me looking refreshed. This erases the bags under my eyes and acts as a good primer for any concealer. All you need to pair it with is a bold lip!”
Hey SIRCUIT® Addicts - it’s time to recognize that skin-preserving products like cleansers and moisturizers aren’t just for women! Men need skin care just as much as their wives and sisters.
Once you’ve chosen the cleanser that works for you (from the most sensitive skin to the breakout prone, SIRCUIT®’s got you covered) it’s time to start using a moisturizer that contains a physical sunscreen to prevent wrinkles and damage from over-exposure to the elements.
Day Care™+ l protective day moisturizer ($75.00) not only contains Zinc Oxide to help protect against UV rays and provide broad spectrum protection from UVA and UVB exposure but also Biolumen Firm, a super-sciency ingredient that your guy can really geek out on! It harnesses the UV Light that we’re exposed to on a daily basis and converts it to healing red light (much like LED light therapy); helping to diminish the appearance of wrinkles and crepiness, while improving overall tone and radiance.
We also recommend that guys use a gentle exfoliant on a weekly basis to encourage skin regeneration and cell renewal. Whether it’s a physical scrub or an at-home peel, either will do the trick … so pick your poision!
Sir Activ™+ l zeolite invigorating scrub ($48.00) is a favorite among men because of it’s small spherical Jojoba beads that gently exfoliate while Zeolites (silicates from volcanoes) help to remove deep impurities.
Youth Accelerator™+ l pumpkin enzyme peel ($75.00) not only smells divine (guys are crazy over it’s pumpkin pie scent) the natural pumpkin enzymes also aid in exfoliating dead skin cells and impurities, while at the same time delivering essenital vitamins and nutrients to the skin.

If we’ve learned anything from those AT&T commercials, it’s that “if you really like something, you’ll want more of it” and SIRCUIT®’s best-selling Molecular Mist+ is no exception for beauty blogger, die hard beauty junkie and confessed product hoarder Miss Style Apothecary!
Here’s a sneak peak of her latest review on this little “lifesaver”:
"I love hydrating sprays. I mean, who doesn’t? I don’t know anyone who is walking around in today’s environment that doesn’t need a boost here and there. This mist instantly soothes my skin and surprisingly the mist even out of this small bottle is full bodied and full of life. I only need a few spritzes and my face is quenched. This is nice to apply in the am, pm, of course on clean skin or when out and about and I need a boost, a single spritz really refreshes and invigorates my face."

We all know that water is our body’s principal chemical component and that it makes up about 60 percent of our body weight - but do you know just how much EVERY system in our body depends on water?
Drinking water isn’t just refreshing, it regulates body temperature, helps your brain function, maintains energy levels, aids in digestion and MUCH more to ultimately keep your body healthy. Plus, you couldn’t survive more than a few days without a sip!
So how much fluid does the average, healthy adult living in a temperate climate need? The Institute of Medicine determined that an adequate intake (AI) for men is roughly 3 liters (about 13 cups) of total beverages a day. The AI for women is 2.2 liters (about 9 cups) of total beverages a day.
What about the advice to drink eight glasses a day? Everyone has heard the advice, “Drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day.” That’s about 1.9 liters, which isn’t that different from the Institute of Medicine recommendations. Although the “8 by 8” rule isn’t supported by hard evidence, it remains popular because it’s easy to remember. Just keep in mind that the rule should be reframed as: “Drink at least eight 8-ounce glasses of fluid a day,” because all fluids count toward the daily total.

Looking for a sunscreen for your children that is both safe and effective can be challenging! With so many sun protectors marketed for children, how do you know which one is best? First, know that most sun protectors marketed for children are just that… marketing. When it comes to active ingredients, there really is no difference between SPF for adults and SPF for children. Keeping that in mind and arming yourself with the following information will help you make the best decisions when it comes to protecting your little ones from the sun:
1. Look for a physical sun barrier, NOT a chemical sun screen.
In the world of sun protection, there are two different approaches: chemical based sunscreens and physical sun barriers. A chemical approach involves applying a layer of ingredients that are absorbed by the skin. The challenge with this approach is these chemical ingredients are not only absorbed by the skin, but they also work their way into the blood stream and are processed by the body. Many of these chemical sunscreens present potential side effects including hormone disruption, reproductive toxicity, and production of free-radicals (damaging the skin cell DNA).
A physical barrier between the skin and the sun is the safest option when it comes to protection from damaging UV rays. Physical barriers absorb and deflect UV radiation before it ever penetrates the skin. These mineral based ingredients sit on the surface of the skin, and are never absorbed by the body. Look for topical, mineral based ingredients (we love Zinc Oxide) and know that your children are getting broad-spectrum protection… safely.
Bottom line: Avoid Octylmethylcinnamate, Oxybenzone, Avobenzone, Benzophone, Mexoryl, PABA or PARSOL 1789, and search for the Zinc Oxide instead.
2. Be wary of water resistant formulas.
Let’s face it… kids hate sunscreen time. It means interrupting their Marco Polo session and getting them out of the pool. Those water resistant claims on sunscreens can create a tempting thought of letting them enjoy their time in the sun for hours on end without re-application…but in reality, those water resistant formulas aren’t truly delivering extended protections. Although these formulas may seem hardier than regular protectors, unless your little one sits perfectly still while at the pool, they won’t protect the skin past a short swim session and a quick drying off with a towel. This leaves us with one question: are the binding agents used to create water resistant formulas worth it? Our little buddies have skin that is prone to heightened sensitivities and reactions, and these water resistant ingredients can irritate their fragile skin.
Bottom line: Get those kids out of the pool and re-apply often. Don’t assume that the product is providing extended protections just because it has a water resistant claim on the label.
3. Remember that the safest way to apply SPF is the old-fashioned way.
Those spray-on sunscreens may seem convenient, but at what cost? Recently, the FDA began investigating the safety of spray sunscreens. These sprays are traditionally chemical based, and are more likely to be inhaled by the child, leading to unknown safety hazards. Until a determination has been made, we suggest foregoing the convenience of a spray for the safety of a spread-on SPF.
Bottom line: The high-tech SPF sprays may seem easy, but the safest form is the old fashioned lotion form.
